Air Commodore Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury joins UAP as Treasurer

 

Air Commodore Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury joined University of Asia Pacific (UAP) as Treasurer on November 08, 2015.

Mr. Choudhury was commissioned in the Air Force in July 1968. After a long service that included command, staff and instructional appointments, he retired in 2003. Air Cdre Ishfaq had obtained higher professional training in the erstwhile Soviet Union and the USA. He is a graduate of the Defence Services Command & Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur and the National Defence College (NDC), Bangladesh. He is also a graduate of Air Command & Staff College (ACSC), USA. He was a Directing Staff (DS) at the Staff College and a Senior Directing Staff at the NDC. He obtained Masters in Defence Studies and M Phil in Security Studies. He is currently pursuing a Ph D program under Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Air Cdre Ishfaq had participated in numerous conferences and seminars at home and abroad. He had many publications in professional journals. He has written book chapters in three books dealing with security issues. He writes regularly in local newspapers on strategic issue and often participates in TV talk-shows. Since his retirement, Air Cdre Ishfaq had been associated with a number of reputed private universities.

Previously, he worked as Registrar of the University of Asia Pacific, Brac University and East West University.
